Q. Can I book a taxi by phoning you?
A. Yes. We have the most suitable taxi, mini bus transfer or coach for your journey to make travelling simple.
Q. Is the charge per person?
A. No. The price is always per vehicle.
Q. How many passengers does one taxi hold?
A. Minicabs are licensed for up to four passengers, however we cater for larger groups with vehicles carrying up to 70 passengers
Q. Can I pay in cash?
A. Yes you can. We offer different payment schemes but in usual practice it would be that you pay a deposit to secure allocation.
Q. I want to pay in advance.
A. That is completely fine. We encourage clients to pay in advance to make it hassle free on the day of travel.
Q. Do the taxis have child seats?
A. Unless advised you must provide your own child safety seat for the journey. N.B. The law does not require taxi drivers to supply child seats
Q. Do the drivers smoke in their taxis?
A. The drivers do not smoke in their taxi cabs; it is against the law in England.
Q. Do the taxis have fare meters fitted?
A. Yes, taxicabs are fitted with fare meters. But some taxis only take bookings with fixed fares as they may not have the taxi meter. However the driver will have a mileage charge sheet.
Q. What areas do you cover?
A. Cars are available for journeys starting anywhere in the U.K
Q. Which airports do you cover?
A. We cover all major Airports within the U.K.
Q. What type of vehicles do you have?
A. The vehicles belong to the drivers and taxi companies, not Cabzilla. They have saloon cars, estate cars, mini buses, & coaches. Coaches can carry up 70 passengers.
Q. How early do I need to book?
A. Generally at least 12 hours notice is required but sometimes, depending on the journey length, you may get a taxi cab in less time.
Q. Can I cancel my booking?
A. Yes, if you wish to cancel please tell us as soon as you find out, we require at least 3 hours notice.
Q. Do you operate a fixed price policy?
A. We can give you a fixed price to any destination providing we know the exact and complete details of the journey and address.
Q. Do I need to pay my fare in advance?
A. Yes you can pay the taxi fare in advance but it is not essential.
Q. Do You charge extra on Christmas Day or New Years Day?
A. Yes, we publish any additional cost and changes to dates\times in late December.
Q. Will you take me at any time of the day or night?
A. Yes, providing we have sent you a confirmation email or text.
Q. Will I be charged extra if my flight is delayed?
A. You can avoid or minimise extra costs if you know that your flight will be delayed before boarding by sending us an email or text. We will give the driver your revised collection time if he has not already been dispatched.
Q. What happens if my flight is cancelled?
A. Please let us know at least 3 hours in advance so we can make changes to the booking, or cancel the taxi booking for you.
Q. What happens if I miss my flight?
A. Again, Please let us know at least 3 hours in advance so we can make changes to the booking or cancel the taxi booking for you.
Q. What happens if my flight is diverted to another airport?
A. Please let us know as soon as you find out so we can make changes to the booking for you.
Q. Where do I meet my driver when I land at any UK airport?
A. In most terminals drivers wait in front of the airport information desk or at the exit doors.
Q. How will I know if my booking is complete?
A. Once you have secured the booking by paying a deposit, the computer generated booking confirmation will be sent to your email address that you will provide us with. The confirmation will have all details from date & time of travel, return or single journey & the drivers name & mobile telephone number.
Q. What if I cannot locate my driver?
A. The driver will call or text you on arrival at your destination, please switch your mobile phone ‘ON’ after the plane has landed, or you can text or call him on his mobile. If all else fails then send a text or call us direct.
Q. Can I get a receipt?
A. Yes, the drivers carry taxi cards that double as a receipt in their vehicles. We can also save you the hassle by producing an invoice when pre-booking.
Q. Will the driver take us anywhere we want to go?
A. Yes, but if you have received a quote then the driver will charge you for the extra distance and time. You must inform the driver of the additional destinations before embarking on the journey.
Q. How will I know my driver?
A. Your driver is the only person who will have your mobile phone number, he will describe his vehicle and his location to you, he will be wearing a yellow badge displaying his name and licence number. He will know your agreed fare and have the details of your journey.
Q. I’ve got loads of luggage what do I do?
A. We have a range of vehicles to suit your travel & cater for any size luggage you may have. You will only pay on the size of the vehicle. Tell us in your email or text and your driver will not charge you any extra for more than 1 suit case per person.
Q. Is the tip included in the fare?
A. No, the tip is never included in the price of a journey.
Q. How much should I tip the driver?
A. Generally 5% of the fare but this is left to the passenger’s discretion.
